Not much happening tonight, but just enough worthwhile games to scrape together a notebook.

The holiday pairings are just about all released. York is coming out on Wednesday, no word yet on the Big Dipper.

Sad news this morning about St. Francis de Sales/Indiana star Eric Anderson dying. I never saw him play, he was just a bit before my time. Joe Henricksen remembered him in this week’s three-pointer.

Happened to see this news on Twitter tonight:

Bailey played in the Chicago Elite Classic last year and was allegedly heading to Morgan Park before he moved to California.

Monday’s top games

New Trier 71, Lake View 44: Domination by the Trevians. They made 12 three-pointers. Spencer Boehm scored 19, hit five of those threes. New Trier is 6-1 and almost cracked the Super 25 the past two weeks. That loss to Lincoln Park is just a tad bit problematic. A win at Glenbrook South on Wednesday would change all that. I’ll likely be covering that one.

Buffalo Grove 79, Wauconda 71: Another big game from freshman Kam Craft. The young star scored 26 and Tom Trieb added 21 for the Bison. Nick Rinchiuso led Wauconda with 20 points.

Deerfield 39, Grayslake North 35: The Warriors even things up at 4-4 with this win. Joe and I talked about Deerfield a bit on the latest episode of No Shot Clock, which will be out just before noon tomorrow.

Wells 74, North Grand 56: Huge night for Donald Aguirre with 33 points. Deandre Dandridge and Eric Fowler each scored 11 for the Raiders, who improve to 4-5.

Crossroads Christian 86, Rich South 56: This score had me googling Crossroads Christian, a school I know nothing about. Apparently it is in Big Rock, IL and is now 8-0. It is not a member of the IHSA but is an “approved school” which means it is ok to play them.
