A man was killed in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the South Side.

Witnesses told investigators that two gunmen exited a car about 3:15 p.m. in the 9100 block of South Loomis and fired shots at 21-year-old Lindsay Ellis Jr., who was struck multiple times, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Ellis was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital, where he died, according to officials. He lived in the Roseland neighborhood on the South Side.
