2 wounded in Dolton shooting

Two people were shot Thursday morning in south suburban Dolton.

The shooting stemmed for a domestic confrontation between and a man and his former girlfriend, according to Dolton officials.

About 3:20 a.m., the woman had gone to a home in the 14500 block of Dobson Avenue to collect personal property and got into an argument with her former boyfriend, authorities said.

The man slammed the door on her, but then came back out and fired multiple shots, striking the woman and her son, officials said. Both were taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition.

Police said a warrant had been issued for the man’s arrest, but he was not in custody as of Thursday night.
