Man hurt in East Garfield Park shooting

A man was shot Friday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 23-year-old was shot in the leg at 7:52 a.m. in the 600 block of North Spaulding, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Further details were not immediately available as Area North detectives investigated.
