Man wounded in Washington Heights shooting

A man was wounded in a shooting Friday night in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the South Side.

The 29-year-old told investigators he was walking on a sidewalk about 6:50 p.m. in the 9100 block of South Justine Street when someone shot him, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the right hand and was driven to 95th Street, where he called 911, according to police.

The man was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. His condition had stabilized.
