A 32-year-old man critically wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The man was standing on a sidewalk about 4:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Kedzie Avenue when three young males approached him and fired shots, Chicago police said.

He was shot in his abdomen and leg, and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, according to police.
