A man died Sunday died in a crash Sunday morning in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Robert Jackson, 27, crashed the vehicle into a light pole at 7:28 a.m. in the 4200 block of West Division, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:02 a.m., authorities said.

An autopsy conducted Monday found Jackson died from multiple injuries related to the crash, and his death was ruled an accident, the medical examiner’s office said.

The CPD’s Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating the fatal crash.
