A 37-year-old man was in critical condition after being stabbed Tuesday evening in the South Loop.

The man was arguing with another person at 7:31 p.m. in the 1400 block of South Canal when he was stabbed in the throat, according to Chicago Police

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.
