A man was shot while driving Wednesday evening in the Southwest Side Lawndale neighborhood.

The 40-year-old was driving south at 5:18 p.m. when he was shot in the 1300 block of South Kedzie, according to Chicago Police.

His condition stabilized at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg, police said.
