A man was shot and killed Monday morning in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Dionte Land, 24, was arguing with a female about 4:20 a.m. inside a home in the 2200 block of South Keeler when she shot him in the back, according to Chicago Police and the Office of the Medical Examiner.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Land lived in the same block, according to authorities.

No one was in custody as Area Central detectives investigated the shooting.
