Man, 68, shot in Englewood

A 68-year-old man was shot Monday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The man was walking from a store with another person when he was shot in the arm and leg by an unknown person about 4:15 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 71st Street, according to Chicago Police.

The shooter ran away after firing shots, police said.

The man was shot in the left arm and right thigh. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
