A man was shot to death Thursday in northwest Indiana.

Miles Beach, 37, was pronounced dead at 2:44 p.m. after he was shot in the 6200 block of Opportunity Lane in Merrillville, according to the Lake County Coroner’s Office. His death was ruled a homicide. Beach lived in Gary.

Merrillville police didn’t immediately provide additional details.
