A man was shot and killed Sunday night in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

Hubert Eddings, 64, was shot in the neck, stomach and back while walking about 10:50 p.m in the 8000 block of South Michigan, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:32 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

Area South detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
