A 17-year-old boy was shot Friday afternoon in the Northwest Side Albany Park neighborhood.

The teenager was shot in the neck about 2:10 p.m. while walking in the 5000 block of North Albany, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Oak Park Hospital in Oak Park, where his condition stabilized, police said.
