A man was shot and killed early Friday in the Englewood neighborhood.

About 2:50 a.m., officers responded to the 600 block of West 63rd Street and found 39-year-old Willie Clarke on the ground with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said. He was pronounced at the scene.

Clarke was a resident of the Marquette Park neighborhood, according to the medical examiner’s office. An autopsy Friday found he died of his injury, and his death was ruled a homicide.
