A person was injured in a fire Sunday morning in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Firefighters responded to a still and box alarm for a fire that broke out in a two-story mixed occupancy building at 2554 S. Spaulding Ave., according to Chicago Fire Media.

A male, whose age was not immediately known, was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in an unknown condition, the department said. No other injuries were reported.

The building was secured about 6 a.m., the department said.
