Man, 18, shot in Park Manor

An 18-year-old man was wounded in a shooting Monday evening in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side.

The man was walking at 5:22 p.m. in the 400 block of East 71st Street when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating the shooting.
