A man was shot to death Saturday morning in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood.

About 6:10 a.m., officers responded to an unresponsive man in the 4500 block of South Champlain Avenue, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

They found 30-year-old Davis Thomas with multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thomas lived in the Roseland neighborhood, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Area Central detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
