A man was wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the Brainerd neighborhood on the South Side.

Someone walked up to the 19-year-old and started shooting at 12:36 p.m. in the 9100 block of South Ada, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. He was listed in serious condition.
