A man was shot to death Saturday evening in the East Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.
About 5:30 p.m., Deandre Bennett, 34, was shot in his neck by someone he was arguing with in the 7900 block of South Greenwood, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died at 8 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said. Bennett lived in the same block as the shooting.
Area South detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
