A man was fatally struck by a CTA train Sunday night at the Cicero Green Line stop on the West Side, according to police.

Marcus Paul Vance, 32, was hit by the train about 9:30 p.m., Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said. He lived in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

Police initially identified the person struck as a woman.

Witnesses told police Vance was standing on the platform at 4750 W. Lake St. when he was hit, authorities said. A ruling on the cause and manner of his death was not made pending further investigation after an autopsy Monday.

Detectives were still investigating the circumstances of the death Tuesday and did not release additional information.
