A man was fatally shot during an altercation Saturday morning in the Northwest Side Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Ryan Hatchett, 29, was shot inside a residence by a male he knew in a domestic-related incident at 7:41 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Central Park, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Hatchett was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he died Monday at 12:12 a.m., authorities said. He lived in Humboldt Park.

An autopsy Monday found Hatchett died of complications from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. His death was ruled a homicide, police said.

The male who shot him left the scene and is not in custody, police said.

Area North detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
