A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured Saturday night when the motorcycle they were riding crashed in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Shortly before 10 p.m., the motorcycle collided with a vehicle that was turning left in the 3200 block of North Avenue, according to Chicago Police. Witnesses told investigators that the motorcycle’s driver, a 38-year-old man, ran a red light.

Nicole Villavicencio, 28, of the Cragin neighborhood, was ejected from the bike during the crash, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Villavicencio and the driver were both taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead and he was listed in serious condition, authorities said.

An autopsy conducted Sunday found that Villavicencio died from multiple injuries related to the crash, and her death was ruled an accident, the medical examiner’s office said.

No other injuries were reported and no citations were issued, police said.
