Jordan Lynch’s first game as a high school football head coach will come in familiar surroundings. The former NIU star will begin his stint as Caravan head coach at Huskie Stadium on Aug. 25 against Hope Academy.

Lynch, a Heisman Trophy finalist at NIU, took over for legendary coach Frank Lenti in December.

Here’s the full schedule for the event, which features three games:

Hope Academy vs. Mount Carmel, noon

Benet vs. St. Laurence, 3

Providence vs. Lockport, 6

The Celtics and Porters, separated by just six miles, have never played each other before.

“Our goal is to give the opportunity of playing in a big venue to Chicago area student athletes while giving their families and high school football fans across the metropolitan area an opportunity to see quality football games and experience the thrill of being in a Major College Stadium,” said event organizer Jim McHugh.

Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.
