A man was wounded Saturday afternoon in a shooting in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About 2:15 p.m., the 33-year-old was walking in the 300 block of South Kilbourn Avenue when he heard two gunshots and began running, according to Chicago police. 

He was struck in his ankle and was taken by paramedics to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating.
