Woman shot while walking in Park Manor

A woman was wounded in a shooting early Wednesday in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side.

The 27-year-old was walking on the sidewalk when she heard shots and felt pain at 12:46 a.m. in the 100 block of East 70th Street, according to Chicago police.

She was shot in the left leg and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where her condition was stabilized, police said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
