An attorney who previously served as a northwest Indiana judge was shot to death by a client Wednesday afternoon in Hobart.

Officers responding to reports of shots fired found 64-year-old Tracy Edward Page dead with four gunshot wounds about 12:40 p.m. in his home. in the 1200 block of West 4th Street, according to statement from Hobart police and the Lake County Coroner’s Office.

An off-duty officer who lives nearby had used his police radio to report multiple shots in the area as well as multiple people “screaming and yelling” and a person calling for help, police said.
