A man was seriously wounded by gunfire Friday evening as he drove in a friend’s vehicle in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 5:40 p.m., the 26-year-old was a passenger in the 5900 block of South Ada Street when a white BMW pulled up and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago police.

He was struck in the arm, hand and leg, police said.

He showed up at Holy Cross Hospital, and was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to police.
