Man, 28, shot in Englewood

A man was shot Wednesday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 28-year-old was walking about 4:20 p.m. in the 5600 block of South Shields when he heard gunshots and was struck in the ankle, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.
