Man, 38, shot in Chicago Lawn

A 38-year-old man was wounded in a shooting Saturday morning in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

About 11 a.m., the man was in the 5900 block of South Maplewood when someone in a passing vehicle opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He was struck multiple times in his groin area and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
