A man was shot Monday afternoon in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 30-year-old was walking outside at 1:33 p.m. when he was shot in the right shoulder and right forearm in the 3200 block of West Douglas Boulevard, according to Chicago police.

He was initially taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said. His condition later stabilized.
