Man shot in Englewood

A man was wounded in a shooting Wednesday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 32-year-old was standing on a sidewalk when he heard shots and felt pain about 9:30 p.m. in the 6400 block of South Aberdeen, according to Chicago police.

He was shot in his back and was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
