A standoff with an armed man who barricaded in a building Sunday night ended peacefully after eight hours of negotiations in the South Side Wrightwood neighborhood.

Police received reports at 7:30 p.m. of a domestic incident at a home in the 8100 block of South Troy, according to preliminary information from Chicago police.

A SWAT team responded when an armed man barricaded himself inside the home with others involved in the domestic incident, police said.

The situation was diffused by 3:45 a.m. Monday, when the man exited the home peacefully, according to police. No charges were being filed against the man.
