Body found in canal in Stickney

The male body was found floating in the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal about 7:45 a.m. Monday near the 3900 block of South Laramie Avenue, Illinois State Police said.

An unidentified body was recovered from the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal Monday in west suburban Stickney.

The male body was found floating dead in the canal about 7:45 a.m. near the 3900 block of South Laramie Avenue, Illinois State Police said.

There was nothing on the male’s body to identify him with, police said.

No further information was immediately available.
