Chicago Public Schools has moved Week 8 football games several days earlier to avoid any conflict with a possible Chicago Teachers Union strike on Thursday.

All the teams that need to get games in to achieve five wins and/or play the eight games necessary to qualify for the playoffs will now play before the strike could happen.

Negotiations between the city and the union resume Monday, with the district and city set to meet daily ahead of the Thursday strike deadline.
