Two robberies were reported within blocks of each other in South Shore last month, according to Chicago police.
The robberies happened about 12:30 p.m. Sept. 15 in the 7000 block of South Merrill Avenue and between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Sept. 26 in the 7000 block of South South Shore Drive, police said.
In each incident, a man in his 30s or 40s approached someone from behind, pushed them to the ground and took their property, police said. The victim saw a handgun on the man’s person in one of the robberies.
