Two men were found shot to death Tuesday in Englewood on the South Side.

About 11:25 p.m., officers responding to a ShotSpotter alert found Jacob Jones and Kevin McClendon with several gunshot wounds each in the backyard of a residence in the 5700 block of South Damen Avenue, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Jones and McClendon, both 18, were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Autopsies Wednesday found they each died of multiple gunshot wounds and their deaths were ruled homicides.

McClendon lived in Washington Park, and Jones lived in Back of the Yards, authorities said.

Area South detectives are investigating.
