A 29-year-old woman was seriously injured Tuesday when she was hit by a vehicle in suburban Naperville.

About 7:22 p.m., authorities responded to the intersection of 5th Avenue and Royal Saint George Drive for a vehicle crash involving a 2006 Dodge Ram driven by a 61-year-old man of Montgomery and a female pedestrian, Naperville police said. An investigation found that the Dodge was turning left at the intersection and struck the woman as she crossed the street.

She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said. The incident remains under investigation and citations are pending.
