Lace ’em up.

Ice skating at the rink in Millennium Park begins Friday.

And here’s another pleasing reminder: It’s free.

But if you don’t have your own skates, you’ll need to pay for rentals.

The day kicks off with a 30-minute professional skating performance at 11 a.m. before open skating begins.

The rink — officially, the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink — is on Michigan Avenue between Washington and Madison streets.

The rink is scheduled to remain open through March 8.

Also opening Friday, and also free, is the skating ribbon at nearby Maggie Daley Park.

Skating at the ribbon will begin at 10 a.m.
