B.A.S.S. announced the schedule today for the inaugural Huk Bassmaster B.A.S.S. Nation Kayak Series powered by TourneyX presented by Abu Garcia.

The five-tournament-series will start in conjunction with the Bassmaster Classic in March in Alabama.

The closest tournament to Chicago will be on the Mississippi River out of La Crosse, Wis. on Aug. 15.

As to entry and payouts, B.A.S.S. had this, ``Entry fees for all of the events will be $250, and each will pay 30 places. Based on a full field of 150 kayaks, the total purse for each event will be $30,000.’’

As with many kayak tournaments, the format will be catch, photograph and release. B.A.S.S. will use a special TourneyX app.
