A man died Sunday after losing control of his vehicle in south suburban Ford Heights.
About 6:20 a.m., the 41-year-old Mokena man was on the westbound ramp from Lincoln Highway to northbound Route 394 when he lost control and drove his 2016 Mercedez-Benz sedan, Illinois State Police said. The man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, flew out of the car and died at the scene.
That ramp, as well as the ramp from southbound Rt. 394 to westbound Lincoln Highway, was closed for nearly four hours, state police said. Both were reopened about 10:10 a.m.
No further information was immediately available.
