Dan Ryan lanes reopen after crash near Bridgeport

The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-90/94 near the junction with I-55, according to Illinois State Police.

Highways that run through Chicago’s South and West sides put residents at point-blank range for the pollution that comes from the millions of vehicles driving on them.

Two lanes of the southbound Dan Ryan Expressway were blocked after a crash Dec. 13, 2019, near the junction with the Stevenson Expressway.

All lanes of the outbound Dan Ryan Expressway were reopened Friday after a crash near Bridgeport on the South Side.

The crash happened about 7:19 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-90/94 near the junction with I-55, according to Illinois State Police. At least two lanes were temporarily blocked, but were reopened shortly before 8 a.m.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured in the crash, state police said.
