No citations have been issued to a driver who allegedly struck and killed a 60-year-old woman crossing a street Sunday in west suburban Lisle.

The woman was crossing Maple Avenue from north to south at Benedictine Parkway about 4:50 p.m. when she was hit by a vehicle traveling east on Maple through a green light, Lisle police said in a release.

The male driver of the vehicle was unharmed and stayed at the scene of the crash, police said. Officers arrived and found a doctor and nurse aiding the 60-year-old Lisle resident.

She was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

No citations have been issued as of Monday morning, police said.
