Man shot, killed in Harvey

Temell D. Brooks, 38, was shot about 5:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the medical examiner’s office.

A 38-year-old man was killed in a shooting Thursday in south suburban Harvey.

Temell D. Brooks was shot about 5:30 p.m. in the 14800 block of Seeley Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Brooks was pronounced dead about 9 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds, and ruled his death a homicide. He lived in Harvey.

Harvey police did not immediately respond to a request for more information on the shooting.

Wednesday night, a gunman broke into a home and fatally shot a man a few blocks away.
