Humboldt Park residents are on alert after a series of recent robberies in the West Side neighborhood.

In each incident, a group of men approached someone on the street and either beat them or threatened them with a handgun before stealing their property, Chicago police said. They fled in a dark four-door sedan in one robbery.

The robberies happened:

· About 12:10 a.m. Dec. 4 in the 3600 block of West Division Street;

· About 7 a.m. Dec. 9 in the 3600 block of West Grand Avenue;

· About 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in the 4000 block of West Division Street; and

· About 5:55 p.m. Dec. 17 in the 1100 block of North Monticello Avenue.

The suspects were described as a group of men between 18 and 35 years old, usually wearing red and black hoodies, police said.
