A person is being questioned after man was assaulted Sunday inside of a residence in Humboldt Park on the Northwest Side, Chicago police say.

About 5:35 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person calling for help in the 1400 block of North Ridgeway Avenue, and found a 25-year-old man with blunt force trauma to his head, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.

There is one “person of interest,” being questioned, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
