Police are warning South Shore residents of recent vehicle thefts.

In two weeks of February, three legally parked vehicles were stolen from the streets, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The thefts happened:

  • about 9:45 p.m. Feb. 28 in the 7200 block of South Crandon Avenue;
  • overnight Feb. 20 in the 7100 block of South Crandon Avenue; and
  • about 6 a.m. Feb. 15 in the 7100 block of South Oglesby Avenue.

Anyone with information on the thefts was asked to call detectives at (312) 747-8380.
