Man fatally struck by train in Cicero

A man was fatally struck by a train Sunday morning in west suburban Cicero.

Victor Manuel Nunez Guzman, 55, was hit by the train at 6:20 a.m in the 2100 block of South Cicero Avenue, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Guzman, who lived in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood on the South Side, was pronounced dead less than an hour later, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy released Monday showed he died of multiple injuries from a train striking a pedestrian and his death was ruled an accident.

Cicero police did not immediately respond to a request for details about the death.
