A man was wounded in a shooting early Tuesday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The 30-year-old was walking outside at 12:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of West 49th Street when someone in a passing gray Ford Explorer fired shots, Chicago police said.

He was struck in his arm and leg, and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center for treatment, police said.
