A 24-year-old man died after being shot Saturday in West Garfield Park.

Cadhal Tillman was sitting in a business about 5:20 p.m. in the 4400 block of West Madison Street when a male wearing a black ski mask walked in and fired, striking him in the upper body and head, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Tillman, who lived in the same neighborhood, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:04 p.m., authorities said. An autopsy Sunday confirmed his death was a homicide, saying he died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The shooter fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
